Mission: This committee is responsible
for the management of all salaried personnel within the church (i.e. pastor, secretary, choir director, church musician, custodian,
day care supervisor, and day care assistant) and oversees the church’s growth and outreach programs.
Scope of Authority: Guided by the Book of Order (G-10.0102n) and directed by the charter of the Session. Only recommends
salaries to Commitment Committee. Only recommends disciplinary measures to Session. Suggests training and oversight needs
of personnel to supervising committee.
Duties:
Develops job descriptions of staff personnel, including hours, salary
range, and benefits package (paid absences - e.g. vacation. personal days. continuing education, legal and religious holidays)
Develops applications and interviewing process for staff personnel.
Arranges and conducts interviews of staff personnel
Administers personnel contracts on behalf of Session
Determines and recommends annual salary adjustments of all personnel
to Session in consultation with the Commitment Committee
Develops and executes an annual evaluation of all personnel
Manages the recruitment and termination processes of staff personnel
Functions as a sounding board for all salaried personnel matters
within the church
Conducts
