 NEW SERIES STARTING IN APRIL

As we step out of the Lenten season, we will be exploring the first book of Samuel.  He was set apart to be the prophet of God, as well as call King Saul to power, and King David in response to God abandoning Saul.  In the beginning of the book we watch Samuel being called out of a house of conflict into corrupt house of worship for the purpose of restoring right worship.  During our study of 1 Samuel, let’s be looking for the reoccurring themes and ask how these words will shape our time of reflection in 2008.  How will the story of Samuel shape our identity as a called people in an area in need of God’s redemptive message?

The Believers

The adult Sunday School class/Bible Study meets Sunday mornings from 10AM to 10:45AM.  This quarter the study titles are God, the People, and the Covenant.

The covenant or contract is defined as a two-way relationship between God and His people.

We are discussing three eras from the Old Testament beginning with David and Solomon (approx. 1000 to 950 B.C.).  Second era the exile (587-538 B.C.).  Third era the restoration (mid 400s B.C.).

What do these three periods have in relationship to the covenant and to us today?  A question for us to disucss "What constitutes faithful covenant living today?"

Join us for some wonderful, theological, fruitful discussion and learning.
