Mission: This committee has responsibility for the finances and funds of the church and oversees the church’s growth
and outreach programs.
Scope of Authority: Guided by Book of Order and the charter of the Session. Session approves the budget while the congregation
receives the budget. Session Liaison. Treasurer and Bookkeepers are standing members of this committee with full voting rights.
Duties:
Develops operating budget
for Session.
Dispenses and oversees
expenditures
Recommends budget adjustments,
additions and deletions throughout the year as needed
Manages memorial, cemetery,
restoration, and other special funds of the church .
Develops and executes the
stewardship program of the church
Makes financial reports to the Session and congregation including ""Individual Giving Reports"
to members
Works with the Presbytery
and Board of Pensions as necessary.
Executes the church payroll
Arranges for an annual audit
Works with and advises
the Treasurer in conjunction with the Personnel Committee, and works with and advises the Bookkeeper as needed.
Conducts a mid-year review
of the church's budget.
